How I Lighten My Dark Knuckles & Joints At Home (With B&A + Illustrative Photos)
Hey sweet hearts, how are you doing today? I wanna say a big thank You for all your words of encouragement and comments lately, God bless you all.Today, its gonna be on a very serious skin problem around the world today which is usually seen common amongst black people who may be lightening their skin using soaps, creams/lotions & serums.
WHAT WE DON'T UNDERSTAND:
Our knuckles & joints are thick. They have a lot of skin tissues which allow for free movement of the joint. Hence, these areas are much more tougher than every other part of the skin. Yes, most dark joints especially the knuckles of the wrist are caused by pigmentation due to sun rays but %70 are caused by the extra skin on the joints, do when we lighten our skin up there's a very big resistance on the joints.
Another major cause of dark knuckles & joints are the pressure & frequent friction due to some activity, activities like Knuckling on the door, crawling on your knees / kneeling down, wearing poorly fitting shoes that rub against our heel, Resting elbows on hard surfaces & lots more.
You really don't need any special formulae or product to remove dark knuckles and joints. It is a very simple thing if you really understand the nature of these areas. I'm gonna classify this into two:
1. Dark knuckles due to skin lightening (changing from dark to light)
2. Dark knuckles due to human activity (pressure on joints)
Now, my main focus here is that of skin lightening but those for human activity are gonna benefit a lot too. When you stand straight what do you discover on your knees? when you stretch your hands straight forward what do you discover on your elbows? when you stretch your fingers straight what do you discover on your knuckles? the extra skin make these areas very thick. In other words, these areas get tough. This is just the reason why joints ain't always on a uniform colour with other parts of our skin especially when we lighten our skin with creams / lotions.
NOW, HOW I DO IT:
I never read or searched online for a method to get rid of my dark joints. However, at that time i was very very light. Infact, i was in the limit where my skin can go, it became so light that so many people hardly recognise me. I had to use my initiative to make things work out, i was hell tired of my dark joints especially my dark knuckles...Like everyone i come across with just immediately know that i was bleaching, because it was hell obvious. So i decided to do two major things, which are:
1. Get some shades darker, at least to a reasonable extent: I am not saying you should go back to your previous or natural dark skin tone, all i'm saying is to get a bit dark bellow very light and then allow your dark joints blend with the whole skin tone and then you can get very light once more. Please, this is for only those who are very dark naturally & became very light leaving them with very dark knuckles.
2. Focus more attention on my joints exposing them more during bath & cream / lotion application: you have to expose these tough areas using different positions. I'll explain & illustrate these positions using the images bellow:
When bathing, you have to position your knuckles like how i positioned mine in the photo above, scrub with a sponge (even if you do not use sponge before, this will help remove dead skin cells and make the skin there lighter), Also when applying your skin lightening lotions, apply it on your knuckles like that too.
Positioning your hands like you wanna punch someone as seen in the photo above is the perfect way to expose your knuckles really good when applying your creams / lotions or when bathing.
The above photo describes how to apply your cream or lotion which can be a black spot corrector or a normal skin lightening lotion on your knuckles properly on your left hand. Press your cream into your hands, rub them together as usual, and then apply it on your knuckles with the positions shown previously on the images above.
The image above shows me applying cream on my knuckles with the "PUNCH" position.
Yes, it is as simple as that, you will have to exercise a little patience tho, getting rid of dead skins on these joints takes time.
I just hope i have passed some vital information with this post..
Please, your questions and contributions are welcome.
Remain Blessed.
